The content from this pack is expanded with twenty new additional items in the third stuff pack The Sims 2: Happy Holiday Stuff. It offers only the new content made available in the 2005 version of the Holiday Edition to players who already owned a copy of the core game. The Sims 2: Holiday Party Pack (known as The Sims 2: Christmas Party Pack in PAL regions) is considered as the pilot release of stuff packs for The Sims 2.
